This sleaze's new friends don't trust him any more than his old friends do. If the good guys regain the Senate from the communists in 2002, this traitor won't have anyone that will talk to him. What the hell is going on in Vermont to be represented in both houses but such Amecican hating, extreme ultra-liberal wing nuts?

Ah, life is good. Everything in the article was predicted by Rush when Jeffords bailed. Jeffords will become an even more irrelevant icon next session.

It's the influx of boomer lefties from the metro areas in Mass., RI, CT, and especially NYC that started some 25 years ago and has nearly ruined the politics of the once proud state.

All the friggin' hippies from New York moved up there back in the sixties and seventies. Now these marxist yuppies are electing ultra-liberal scum like Jeffords. He's a disgrace. They ought to make a law forbidding changing parties in midterm. My GOP support money helped elect that pr*ck so we could have a stronger platform and senate majority, not him, but the GOP. I'm pissed about this move!

Vermont has been invaded for the last 20 years by a bunch of fat, balding Hippies. The 'natives' up there have no say anymore. It's a small state (only one congress critter) so it didn't take a lot of influx of former SDS members to swing the balance of power. It's kind of like Berkeley or Madison population wise but with two US Senators.
