Time's "Man of the Year/Person of the Year" is NOT a reward. It is unfortunate that they choose to use this title which carries positive connotations from its its usage in other arenas.

Time should more properly name the distinction "Newsmaker of the Year", which is what it represents by their definition. A person's character has no bearing on this determination. Keep in mind that Osama bin Laden was the other leading candidate.
