Love and praise are different.
Man of the year is a reward.
Jesus did not reward sinners who refused to admit or confess their sins.

He's man of the year NOT because of his views on abortion or guns but rather because of his actions on and since September 11th.

Man of the year is a reward.Time's "Man of the Year/Person of the Year" is NOT a reward. It is unfortunate that they choose to use this title which carries positive connotations from its its usage in other arenas.
Time should more properly name the distinction "Newsmaker of the Year", which is what it represents by their definition. A person's character has no bearing on this determination. Keep in mind that Osama bin Laden was the other leading candidate.
