Maps Don't Lie
Yossi-Tel Aviv resident
Israel (in yellow), is a democratic nation 1/19th the size of California, surrounded by 21 hostile Islamic dictatorships with 640 times her size, 60 times over her population and ALL the oil. How dare Arab propagandists call Israel "expansionist!" And how dare anyone believe them! How can Israel, which occupies one-sixth of one percent of the lands called Arab, be responsible for the political dissatisfaction of 21 Arab countries? How can the 13 million Jews in the world (almost 5 million fewer than they were in 1939!) be blamed for the problems of the 250 million Arabs, who have brotherly ties to one billion Muslims worldwide? Israel is an oasis of Western Democracy and Judeo/Christian morality in the middle of an otherwise totalitarian Mid East. For over 53 years, Israel has sought peaceful coexistence with neighbors dedicated to her destruction.
Israel would fit INSIDE nearly every U.S. state! In fact, tiny Israel would fit into the United States (Alaska & Hawaii included) 768 times! The United States is a country surrounded by two vast oceans and two friendly countries, Canada and Mexico. Yet the United States Government has the nerve to tell Israel what it must, and must not do, for its own survival and in the name of "Middle East Peace." Keep in mind that the United States has still not placed its U.S. Embassy in Israel's 3,000 year old capitol city of Jerusalem so as not to "offend" the Arab Worlds' collective sensitivities! Well, I say it's about time someone root out those devils in the State Department!
Israel is one of the tiniest nations on the face of the earth... only about 8,000 sq. miles, 2½ times the size of Rhode Island and only slightly larger than the Canary Islands!. It is only 260 miles at its longest, 60 miles at its widest, and 9 miles at its narrowest! A very high-powered rifle could launch a projectile right across the country! This is particularly frightening when one considers that 65% of Israel's population is within this 9 mile wide section (Tel Aviv area). Yet Arab propagandists call Israel "expansionist" and the "aggressor" against all Arab peoples. For those unfamiliar with the Arab interpretation of "aggressor," it means either one who dares fight back against Arab aggression!! So even though Israel may have fought only defensive wars, the mere fact that she had the nerve to "fight back" at all is viewed as an "act of aggression." That's a case of whacky logic but, unfortunately, Israel doesn't have the luxury of picking her enemies!
Look at the above-left map. If Arafat and his Jew-murdering, terrorist thugs ever take possession of Judea-Samaria ("West Bank") and Gaza and call it their State, how will these two SEPARATE land areas (Jud-Sam. + Gaza) be connected? Will there be some underground tunnel? Some overhead bridge? Or will the Arabs simply demand a land corridor connecting these areas...and, in the process, cut Israel right in half! This is a prescription for Israel's suicide and the Arabs know it!
No nation is required to arrange her own suicide. Any peace-making must be at the negotiating table and not upon an autopsy table! If Israel were to turn over Land of this magnitude, they would be signing they own death certificates. The Arabs of Palestine will just have to find some other place to pitch their tents... perhaps in one of the 24 Arab Nations that surround Israel!
No, Israel launched a preemptive strike on Egypt regarding the blockade of the straits. Most agree that Israel was justified...except 114 other nations in the UN.

Let's skip the Bible, eh?
1. Prior to the Roman Conquest, was everyone in the region a Jew?
2. From that point in history until the Ottoman Conquest was everyone in the region a Jew? 3. Who was living in the region at the end of World War One? (When the Turks, inheritors of the Empire surrendered to the British).
4. Who signed the 1948 creation of modern day Israel?
5. Why did Jordan not demand the return of the WB while Egypt reacquired the Sinai?
If you can answer these questions objectively, you will do us all a great favor and tone down the rhetoric. Thank you.
A liar. Ok, teenbeat.
Or are you talking about the land that the Jordanians refused to provide fresh water for nor food for that the displaced Arab-Isrtaelis were forced to live on because they tried to allow the surrounding Arab nations to come and kill Jews for? Is it that land you mean?
Or are you talking about the land that Egypt refused to provide food for nor fresh water for so that they could come and kill Jews for, after murdering the Arab Mayor who thought he could live in peace with the Jews? Is it that land you mean??
That is an absolutely false analogy. What you need is Delaware, filled with a trickle of refugees over 100 years, having these refugees attacked and killed at various times, then the host government disarms the arab refugees but allows the remaining citizens to keep their arms, forcing the arab refugees to form their own defense force, some as vigilantees, strike back on occasion, then the world feels sorry for the arabs and grant them nation status because of a recent holocaust, and the day this happens, Virginia, Maryland, New York and Pennsylvania, and New Jersey attack, telling all Delaware resident to leave so they can kill the arab refugees.
Now, somehow the arab refugees win this 5 pronged attack, despite the hordes of money given to them by the US government, they reluctantly receive money from the Soviets, outnumbered 500 to one, attacked for years after this independence war, years of terrorism against them, striking back at the terrorists homes and no matter how many arabs are killed, people still scream it is their own fault....
Now, substitute Delaware for Israel, Arab for Jew, and all other states for the Arab nations that surrounded Israel in 1948, Soviet for American...and you might get a clue as to what has been happening there.
Israel did NOT launch a pre-emptive strike. Egypt was in the actual act of a Naval Blockade of the Israeli port city of Eliyat in the Red Sea Gulf of Aqaba. Egypt started the 67 war, not Israel.
2. From that point in history until the Ottoman Conquest was everyone in the region a Jew?
No, many were transient Jews, Arabs, Romans, Spainards, Turks, Greeks, Phoencians and such. Jews made up 30% of the Population when the Turks lost power after WWI.
3. Who was living in the region at the end of World War One? (When the Turks, inheritors of the Empire surrendered to the British).
See ABove for answer
4. Who signed the 1948 creation of modern day Israel?
A Majority of nations in what became the United Nations Security council I believe, and the majority of the member nations at that time
5. Why did Jordan not demand the return of the WB while Egypt reacquired the Sinai?
Because it allowed the Arab world to exploit the Palistinians as an edge against the Jews. These Arab nations provided false security to the PALS, they told them if they moved out of the cities, they could kill all the Jews, then the PALS could go back to the dead Jews homes and live there. When the Invading Arab armies lost, they kept the Palistinians in cages behind barbed wire to exploit them to foment the Arab hatred of Jews.
[This article contains many stories of miracles that took place during the Gulf War that were recorded in Hebrew news articles and did not make their way for the most part, into the English speaking media . The author of this article has written a book, A Light Unto the Nations, which offers strong evidence for the existence of G-d. The author has also written an article in Hebrew, It is a Commandment to attempt to offer Sacrifices at This Time , which carries the written endorsement of Rabbi Israel Ariel, Head of the Temple Institute , Rabbi Dovid Bar-Chaim, head of the Ben-Yishai Institute and Rabbi Moshe Tzuriel, author of numerous works on the writings of Rabbi Abraham Isaac Kook.]
Introduction
"And David said to Saul [Sha'ul], Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: and I went out after it, and smote it, and delivered it out of its mouth: and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and smote it, and slew it. Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Pelishtian [the Giant ,Goliath] shall be as one of them, seeing he has denigrated the armies of the living Lord."
Failure to take past miracles into account, when considering whether to undertake actions to extend Jewish sovereignty over the land of Israel is part of the sin of the spies [meraglim, in Hebrew]. This failure led to the divine decree of death against most the men of the children of Israel between 20 and 60.
As Rashi states, in his commentary on Numbers [Bamidbar] 14:11 "Because of all the miracles which I have wrought for them, they should have believed that there is power in my hand to fulfill my promise".
Given the spiritual state of the generation , some , may find it hard to understand and accept that we got and we will get miraculous assistance.
To resolve this problem, I'll quote from the prophet Ezekiel chapter 36 verse 22 : "I do not do this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for my holy name's sake, which you have profaned among the nations, to which you came".
And similarly Isaiah chapter 59 testifies that the generation that will gain redemption, transgresses and denies Hashem and departs from our Lord, speaks oppression and revolt, conceives and utters from the heart words of falsehood [verse 13]. And similarly of that generation it was said, that truth is absent and he that departs from evil gains the social status of a crazy man [verse 15].
The biblical prophet , Isaiah teaches [chapter 54 verse 2] "Expand the place of your tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of your habitations: do not hold back, lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes".
The students of the Gaon of Vilna,(as explained in Rabbi Rivlin's book, Kol Hator, chapter 5 ), believed there are 17 facets of expansion needed to fully fulfill this verse.
All the activities that are contained within the commandment of expansion , it is obligatory to do them and strengthen them without stopping and without delay as the words of the prophecy there [in Isaiah] state, "Expand the place of your tent", etc. "do not hold back" , meaning, don't stop, and "strengthen your stakes".
In the same chapter [of Isaiah] of which we were commanded to "Expand the place of your tent", we have a trustworthy promise "No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper and every tongue that rises with you to judgment, you shall make into the guilty party, this is the heritage of the servants of Hashem [G-d] and their righteousness is from me, says Hashem".
The students of the Gaon of Vilna put their "lives on the line" countless number of times when they emigrated to Israel based on their understanding of biblical prophecy that expansion would bring success. The fact that they did succeed in turning Jerusalem into a Jewish city [as far as population figures are concerned] gives us confidence to follow their analysis of reality when taking future decisions.
As Samuel Katz in Battleground [a book that carries the endorsement of Jeane J. Kirkpatrick and Jack Kemp] states (p.100,101) :
"It is clear that by now the state of the country was exacting a higher toll in lives than could be replaced by immigrants. But the immigrants who came shut their eyes to the physical ruin and squalor, accepted with love every hardship and tribulation and danger. Thus, in 1810, the disciples of the Vilna Gaon who had just emigrate wrote : "Truly, how marvelous it is to live in the good country. Truly, how wonderful it is to love our country....Even in her desolation she is unequaled, in her silence there is none like her. Good are her ashes and her stones".
"These immigrants of 1810 were yet to suffer unimagined trials. Earthquake, pestilence, and murderous onslaught by marauding brigands were part of the record of their lives. But they were one of the last links in the long chain bridging the gap between the exile of their people and its independence. They or their children lived to see the beginnings of the modern restoration of the country. Some of them lived to meet one of the pioneers of restoration, Sir Moses Montefiore, the Jewish philanthropist from Britain who, through the greater part of the nineteenth century, conceived and pursued a variety of practical plans to resettle the Jews in their homeland.
With him began the gray dawn of reconstruction. Some of the children of those immigrants lived to share in the enterprise and purpose and daring that in 1869 moved a group of seven Jews in Jerusalem to emerge from the Old City and set up the first housing project outside its walls. Each of them built a house among the rocks and the jackals in the wilderness that ultimately came to be called Nahlat Shiva [Estate of the Seven]. Today it is the heart of downtown Jerusalem, bounded by the Jaffa Road, between Zion Square and the Bank of Israel".
One of the main reasons that Israel experienced many more miracles of salvation from enemy explosions during the time of Prime Minister Shamir than during the time of Rabin was that Shamir was involved in expansion to a much greater degree than Rabin. Rabin signed away to the Arabs, land in exchange for what in essence is a cease-fire agreement with a high tolerance for cheating...
Excerpts from: Miracles of the Gulf War
We have been sold a bill of goods concerning the American Indians. They were a vicious group of people, and attacked white settlers on a daily basis, unprovoked. Within the stories of the Pilgrims in Massachusetts, is a plot by 4 surrounding tribes to wipe out the Pilgrims. The Pilgrims found out about this by finding a sick Indian in the woods. They took him home and nursed him to health. He was so grateful, he told them of the plot.
Captain Miles Standish gathered his musket and knife and went to confront each tribes chief to a fight to the death. What I cannot remember, is he either killed 3 chiiefs and the last chickened out, or he killed 1 chief, and the other 3 chickened out.
Also, the French and Indian wars showed their humanity, some siding with the French, some with the British, for whatever reasons. What was just as bad, was the Indians in the northest, capturing white settlers, killing the babies, and carrying off the survivors to be sold as slaves to the French Canadians.
One book you should lok for, it has been re-printed, is the book titled, "The Redeemed captive Returning to Zion". It is the story of a Deerfield, Massachusetts Preacher, whose family was captured, (After the initial asault, where he witnessed the peace-loving-Indians take his baby by the legs and slam it's head against a tree to kill it, and also his wife got a tomahawk in the head, lived, but was insane after he returned) by Indians and sold as slaves to the French Canadian Catholic Priests, which according to his account and others, was a common thing, where Catholicism was forced upon them: Convert or Die!
Or are you thinking of some other battle that I am not thinking of?
Of course, all this negates the fact that even the Native Americans themselves were immigrants. They likely came across the straight of Alaska thousands of years earlier, but that doesn't change the basic fact. What bestows right to ownership of land? Immigration, population migration, conquest, persecution, resources and more have always been the driving forces behind people and their nations.
We all know the answer: Governments or Gold or Guns. And, the Arabs keep trying to Kill the Jews instead of live in peace as the Jews have shown they want. We tried to live in peace with the Indians, and they started killing us in the 1630's here in CT. But, we felt sorry for winning that war, so we gave the slaughtered tribe a casino. Talk about revenge!
This one post could be the rote answer to all the endless and illogical diatribes.
