This should boost world sympathy for those nutty taliban/AlQaeda dudes... when will the arab countries wise up and see that this is coming soon to a market near them if they don't jump on the bandwagon with the US.

The talibums are at it again. I guess we will have to police that area for a long time to come. What morons.

I wonder if this will persuade the liberal bleeding hearts who complain that we are actually killing the enemy in Afghanistan that it's dangerous to let terrorists go about their business. We have very good reasons for finishing them off, because they won't stop doing this kind of thing, or worse, until we've nailed all of them.

"The people who did this meant to destroy the peace and tranquility of our city," Sherzod said.

My heart goes out to the victims of this cowardly attack, but peace and tranquility are two concepts generally not associated with Afghanistan over the last 2400 years...

Track ALL terrorists down and execute them. Sorry but it looks like good old fashion death squads are needed.

Ahh, and now starts the real war. Now you'll see what the Soviets saw. They never came in to occupy but to propt up the Federal Afghan government as it fought the insurgency that did the same kind of thing. Watch, my bet is that the new international forces will get quickly sucked into the same thing. The problem is, tracking down a few hundred psychopaths spread out over the country side takes a lot more forces since you never know where the pricks will roll a grenade or snipe at someone. But if you don't take them out, then they grow stronger, get more converts who have a similar mindset and see things working and then you're back to civil war...all the mean time you loose troops in a slow grind.

With as much ordnance that is on the loose there, I'm surprised something like this hasn't happened earlier.

These are the same people our "allies" the Northern Alliance just let go because they were Afghans and not Arabs, I bet. Civil war ought to break out there full scale in about a week. Need to mop up our operations and move on.

RE #9 If local population is for grenade throwers, you are right. But Taliban does not have much popular support left. Terrorists without popular support are dead ducks. During the Soviet invasion, much of population was against Soviet force. Norhtern Alliance is American ally now. Mazar-i-Sharif is part of their homefield.

I figured you would be right behind this, giggling and smirking away. Must be a terrific Christmas present for you, huh?

You are pathetic, but then you do have all of that reading behind you and those nine years of military service.
