Rogers vows even hand in school budget cuts

I'm not one who equates money with education. Kids managed to learn arithmatic and grammar before computers and state certified teachers with MS/MA degrees.

LOL...I agree money alone is not the answer, but I don't think you could run any school on thin air -- niehter publuc nor private. And, I can support helping the disabled through more choice and increased funding, especially when the amoount of such funding was pitiful with respect to the last FL governor, a Dem governor, Chiles.

So true! My education was supplied by dedicated nuns many years ago. They didn't know about the PC thing called "ADD" or new math. They believed that it was their job to teach us what we needed to know, no matter what they had to do to get it into our hard little heads and it was our job to accept it.

Our little school didn't have federal aid, we didn't have all the accouterments of schools today, yet we all survived and did well in life.
