My Confrontation With Jesse Jackson In His Lion’s Den
The Washington Dispatch ^ | 12/17/2001 | Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson

Posted on 12/17/2001 4:56:04 AM PST by Spin

It was thirteen years ago that I realized the reason for my failure in life was not racism but my own hatred. When I discovered and overcame my hatred, I also discovered the number that had been done on me by Jesse Jackson and others, and the despicably low and evil nature of this man. The man I had once thought a hero I now saw to be one with the devil, committed to keeping blacks angry for his own personal gain of wealth and power. I formed BOND, the Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny, with the purpose of rebuilding the family by rebuilding the man, especially the black man, as he has been the most victimized by so-called leaders such as Jackson. My heart’s desire became fighting for truth. This additionally meant fighting against evil, and for this reason we at BOND have long been fighting against Jackson. For years I have spoken out against this man, showing him to be a racist demagogue and problem profiteer who would rather the black community parish in self-destruction than lose any of his power base. This past week I finally got the chance to confront this man face to face.

On Monday, December 10, I attended a Los Angeles Trade Bureau Forum Meeting held at the L.A. Chamber of Commerce. The purpose of the meeting was to unveil Toyota’s “21st Century Diversity Strategy,” a result of a Jackson shakedown of the Toyota company. In 2002, Toyota will be giving $700 million worth in contracts to minority businesses. However, it was implied by Jesse Jackson and others at the meeting, and not corrected by Toyota officials in attendance, that in order to receive these contracts, businesses should pay anywhere from $250 to $2500 annually to Jackson’s International Trade Bureau, essentially making him the gatekeeper to these benefits. Jesse Jackson and Irv Miller, Toyota’s Vice President for Corporate Communications, were the featured speakers. Over two hundred black business owners and representatives were in attendance.

Jackson’s speech contained such choice excerpts as, “I have been on the ‘red squad list’ by [Attorney General John] Ashcroft and others; they’re after us… They’re using bin Laden as an excuse to come after us. We [U.S.] gave bin Laden 60 million [dollars]. If we’re going to fight terrorists, we must also fight the Klan… Locking people out of economic opportunity is a form of economic terrorism.” Jackson also stated that minorities could not make it in America on talent alone, and that they must join his “Trade Bureau” or they could miss out on hundreds of millions in corporate dollars.

Following Jackson’s speech, Toyota’s representative, Miller, gave an approximately twenty minute presentation, then opened up to questions. I stood up and asked Miller, “As the president of a nonprofit conservative organization, BOND, I’m concerned that our young people will be locked out of any training programs offered by Toyota because of our conservative beliefs. How are you going to make sure that organizations like ours are not discriminated against by Rainbow/PUSH and its members?”

To put it simply, all hell broke loose. I was booed and told to sit down and keep quiet. Judge Greg Mathis, host of the TV show “Judge Mathis,” hollered at me, “You must be watching too much Bill O’Reilly.” Indeed. I was called “stupid” by Carl Dickerson, host of the event. Others were questioning why I would say such a thing, do such a thing, and so on.

SUPPORT B.O.N.D. WITH YOUR DONATIONS. THEY DON'T MAKE ANY MONEY OTHER THAN DONATIONS. After the Rodney King Riots, all the money was controlled by Maxine, and Cecil Murray and what I call the 'black mafia'. B.O.N.D. didn't get any of the money....they can sure use your donations now. Go to HELP BOND HERE... they can also use used computers, cameras, you name it. You can donate your expertise in a certain area...give them a call...

IOW, minorities are not smart enough and talented enough to really make a difference in their own lives. But Jesse and his horde are. And, people buy this?

If people with Italian last names did what Jesse Jackson did, they'd be prosecuted under the RICO racketeering laws.

I'd like to split my vote betwen "Racist" and "Profiteer"

Jesse Hi-Jackson is BOTH (and a few other choice words too)

You got THAT right!
Choice words like hypocrite...
...and fraud.
Thank God for men of CHARACTER like Jesse Lee Peterson, who can expose his duplicity.

"...but am I the only one who bridled a bit at the issue that the Reverend raised, that is: "How come we black conservatives can't get a piece of the shakedown action?""

I won't attempt to put words into Rev. Peterson's mouth, but I don't believe for a second that that's what he meant. I've read many of his writings, etc., and I know what he stands for; corporate shakedowns aren't on his list (it's one of the things that irks him the most about Jackson, as you can tell from this piece). He was making a point; in fact, fairly "baiting" Jackson into a confrontation.........one that needed to happen.

He also made the point loud and clear that, in order for the other men in the room to feed at Toyota's trough, they had to kow-tow, step 'n' fetch, and kiss the ring (and ass) of Jesse Jackson. He got run out of the room, but I'll just bet that he made more than a few of those men think long and hard afterward.

I hope you're right; I guess I missed the irony in his statement. But, since I have so much respect for him, I will give him the benefit of the doubt and adhere to your interpretation (similar to blutarsky's above).

Best,
PB

You know, Rev. Peterson is to be commended for his courage.

That being said, he needs protection. Rev. Peterson, like all Americans, has the right to speak his mind. If Jackson and his cronies wish to demonstrate naked aggression designed to intimidate and harass someone who is exercising his Constitutional right to free speech, then, a .44 Desert Eagle or two (or three) must be present to squash the aggression.

Rev. Peterson was in true physical danger, while he posed no physical threat whatsoever to who he disagreed with.

Aggression must be met with greater force, and I would volunteer free of charge to defend him in situations like this.

My heat weighs a ton.

I, for one, will never buy another Toyota product

I have never purchased a Japanese car, and I never will, period. I've always owned American made cars, and as long as you maintain 'em, they're just fine.

The Japanese entered our market with cheap cars, and sold them to the American public touting gas mileage and "regular maintenance" for their upkeep. American car makers in the 70's and early 80's produced CRAP, period. I suffered through those cars. But they've gotten much better, and as long as you maintain 'em, there's no reason to get 100,000+ miles from them easily. Every car I've owned post 1976 hasn't failed to go over 100,000 miles, even though they looked like absolute crap (rusted out) while doing it.....

Proud To Be American = Proud To Drive American.

And for those who'll claim on this thread that Hondas and Toyota's are now built here, I'll remind you that while that's true, the profit$ from the sales of those cars are sucked out of this country, and sent back to Japan.

NEVER MIND...

...as tonight KPLS aired the 1st half hour of The BOB DORNAN Talk Radio Show and then PRE-EMPTED the rest of the show with a Pepperdine University Basketball Game Broadcast. Bye-Bye Freeper Night.

...Looks like BOB DORNAN isn't getting the air time he used to right up to last week in So. California. KPLS' Re-Broadcast of his Friday Shows that also aired early Monday Mornings has now been replaced by Infomercials.

...BOB DORNAN's.. www.TalkRadoNetwork.com ...National Talk Radio Show is aired in 42 Markets. Looks like KPLS in So. California has other plans for BOB's Show. But you can Listen to him LIVE online @ 6-9 AM Pacific Time at the above Website.

...KPLS Station Manager Phone No. is 714 282-8300.

...I left a phone message today for him about BOB being pre-empted at night by College Basketball ..and got no return call. No surprise.

...Guess we all got our answer about what's up at KPLS on the air tonight instead...?

I left a message this morning on KPLS too. I told them I would listen to their station more if they would stop cutting off Bob Dornan and make some time slot space for the JW Report.
