At present I do not see where where I have agreed with the opinion of the court in any way.
You haven't read their conclusion.

I
have read the conclusion and it is crap. What is not clear is wheather all the previous challenges were turned down based on the same flawed premise. Accepting the facts presented does not equate to agreeing with their conclusion, or the reasoning used to arrive at it.
If no one has ever managed to get a case heard by the USSC through this means, then the game is probably rigged. You'd rather see Stanley go tilting at windmills against a rigged game on principle, but when someone like Ron Paul does the same thing in Congress you blast him for being "ineffectual".

I don't disagree that its a tremendious hurtle to overcome. However, I still think gun rights folks like me are going to be a lot more successful lobbying the legislature than to get this law overturned. You've already indicated the judicial system might be rigged. Legislation, once enacted, is not.

But by what logic do you conclude that anyone working toward the same goal, but by different means or through different logic is working against you?

Because the legislature is a body that reacts to public opinion. When an ass like this one in Colorado influences public opinion in such a negative way it makes the legislature(s) much less likely to support the particular issue he was making as ass of himself over.
