Union armies crushed out the rebellion and restored the national authority in all the states.

Looks like we got us another one, Walt. Let me see if I understand him. Lincoln was a tyrant and a traitor to the constitution, because Aric200 says so, the end of story. The states had a right to secede from the union and still have the right to secede, because Aric2000 says they do. Lincoln ignored the constitution and took tyranical powers, because Aric2000 said he did. Hundreds of thousands of men died due to Lincoln's "fanatical and illegal actions", because Aric2000 says they did. There were 9 million slaves in the U.S. in 1861, because Aric2000 says there were. How can we ever combat logic such as this?
