So, Jeff Jacoby has been hired back from the newspaper that ran him off for no reason. When did this happen?
By the way, I wrote about this in my column last week. If interested, Click here.

Since your column appeared first, and Jacoby's column contains nearly every point you made, sometimes in virtually the same language, I think you have grounds for a copyright suit....or at least a free dinner.
Congrats - you nailed every sickening point about these touchy-feely, moral relativitistic, non-confrontational and non-compas-mentas (sp)liberal parents. Eagles-Up, Lets Roll!!

Jacoby received a four month suspension for writing an article about the fate of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Several articles have been written on this topic, including one by Rush Limbaugh's father. Jacoby decided to write on this topic for his July 4th article last year because the other articles had some historical inaccuracies. He did his own research and told the familiar story in his own words, correcting the errors in the other versions. There was no plagiarism and no intent to claim the premise was original. In fact, in an email circulated before the article was published, Jacoby mentioned the other articles and explained why he was writing a new one. However to save space, the explanatory paragraph was omitted from the published version.
The Globe gave him a 4 month suspension for this omission, even though no one even accused him of plagiarism or intent to deceive anyone. The suspension smacks of deliberate retaliation for his well-known conservative positions. Thus, the liberal Globe editors silenced the only conservative voice on the staff for the duration of the 2000 Presidential campaign.
BTW I read your article and thought it was outstanding. I hope you'll post more of your articles here on FR.

Great article, S. Concise and hard hitting. Hope to see you on FOX News soon! (Maybe you can replace the aging Byronic wannabe Geraldo!)
