It seems that they understand the problem, but don't know the solution.
For over half a year, Republicans controlled both Houses and the White House, yet Partial Birth Abortion is still being committed on our children. When are they going to pursue the abolition of it? I see absolutely NO movement regarding abortion from the White House or Congressional Republicans.
What a shame!

I see absolutely NO movement regarding abortion from the White House or Congressional Republicans They can't because of jumping Jim Jeffords(Dashcle controls the bills in the Senate now). The Republican Congress three times sent to Clinton a partial birth abortion ban and three times he vetoed it.

I see absolutely NO movement regarding abortion I can't be overturned until a liberal justice retires. We just need Justice Stevens or Ginsburg to retire. I sure there people on FreeRepublic that think Al Gore would have been great.

I see absolutely NO movement regarding abortion from the White House or Congressional Republicans. Please recall for me how many times the Republicans passed or voted on bills to outlaw it? I do recall somebody named clinton (Do you remember him?)vetoing their attempts to outlaw it.

Do you know anyone who has had a "partial birth abortion?"

The bill banning partial birth abortion was passed. Clinton vetoed it. If Bush had been President he would have signed it. There's another bill but Daschle won't let it be voted on.

For over half a year, Republicans controlled both Houses and the White House, "Controlled" means majority, except in the Senate where it means 3/5ths. Else is just "Advantage", and that assumes that you don't have a contingent of xINOs...of which there are clearly at least 6.

Exactly! this is my only beef with the White House. All we ever heard (and rightfully so) when the previous administration held office from the Republicans was parial birth abortion. They held Clinton to the fire on this issue. Not one thing has been done by our President yet. Some of us cannot understand the logic here!
