The "gun show loophole" is anti code for the end of private sale.

"Tupperware parties for criminals." I always figured this meant that housewives had taken up selling Glocks as a nice little home-based business.

The reason criminals don't get their guns from gun shows is really pretty easy to see if you've ever been to one. They're crawling with cops, especially off-duty cops. Security is often provided by them, and they're visitors as well. If you were a wanted criminal, you'd avoid those places like the plague.

I agree with post #3. The so-called "gunshow loophole" talk is just another step down the slippery slope to banning the private sale of guns among law abiding citizens.
I also agree with post #6. The gunshows I have visited have been populated with decent, law-abiding people who hunt, target shoot or collect as a hobby.

...very few voters had ever attended a gun show, so it was easy to portray these harmless middle class gatherings as wretched hives of scum and villainy. This quote reminded me of the Star Wars movie :-)
I have attended many gunshows and they are great places for patriots to gather.
