I believe what I told my friend two years ago when the election process was starting - when the people of the US get to know him, and how good, kind and honorable he is - then they will love him as Texans do. He hasn't changed; now the country is seeing him as he is. You are so right! I felt this so strongly about GWB during the campaign, that I said so at every opportunity, to everyone whose eyes landed on my various campaign pins, etc. I live in a solid blue state where a huge number of people get their news from "black" radio and TV. I knew they would come to love him when they were allowed to see his true character. And I am very glad that America has a Texas!! to counterbalance this liberal East coast.

I am a Texas native, but live in North Carolina in a very blue ("Carolina Blue", if you know what I mean) section of a red state. My husband and I enjoy tweaking delicate liberal sensitivities here! We like North Carolina, but yes, thank goodness for Texas.
