PARIS (AP) -- The Paris city council has named U.S. death row inmate Mumia Abu-Jamal, convicted for the 1981 slaying of a police officer, as an honorary citizen of Paris.
The show of solidarity with Abu-Jamal, a former Black Panther and journalist, came in a vote Tuesday in the wake of the Nov. 21 decision by a Philadelphia court, which said it did not have jurisdiction over a request for a new trial.

Q. Why is the Champs Elysees lined with trees?
A. Because Germans don't like to march in the sun!

They should dress him in a policeman's uniform, stuff a sock in his mouth and superglue his teeth shut, shackle him, handcuff him to the steering wheel of a parked police car under any streetlight that isn't shot out, in any public housing project in Philly, and then just keep a dispatcher asking him how the stakeout is going... No huge electric bill. Shot by gang members on his own turf after stealing a State Patrol car and trying to escape.

Picasso may well have been a scumbag. I read that he once was banned from Spain after exhibitng at the Prado a new painting of a Spaniard sitting on a bridge. It was entitled "Spic and Span." True story.....................];-)

Abu-Jamal an honorary citizen of Paris? Does this mean that when he dies here, we can ship his rotting criminal corpse over there? It's not like they don't have enough nuclear waste over there as it is. I wouldn't doubt if the morons from the DU are praising Paris as we speak.
I can see it now, Charles Manson receives the medal of honoUr from Canada next. What's that all aBOOT!!!

Basically, it means he will get through if he has a running start, of if enough velocity is applied from some other source.

WELLL! THATS THE LAST TIME I EAT FRENCH ONION SOUP. AND FROM NOW ON ITS AMERICAN FRIES. THEY HELP US OUT ONCE IN THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION AND WE HAVE TO SAVE THEIR BUTT AND KISS IT FOR THE LAST 200 YEARS. I ONCE COMPLAINED TO A GERMAN SALES AGENT, WHEN WE MET WITH HIS FRENCH AGENT THAT THE FRENCH DIDN'T SEEM TO LIKE WE AMERICANS. HE SAID: "JOIN THE CLUB, THEY DON'T LIKE ANYBODY."

"Jean Vuillermoz, leader of the Communist Party grouping on the council, said the decision by the council follows "alarming news" about Abu-Jamal." This explains a lot. French commies: always supporting the "poor and oppressed."
