Please contact the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. 1-800-The Lost. Our daughter ran away several times when she was this age. (I'm not implying that this young man ran away - the center helps whatever the cause). The police are assuming that your friend's son ran away and know that it will be hard to find him until he wants to be found. I'm praying for him.
