A black officer I worked with in Germany (certainly an officer and a gentleman) had a Master's Degree. He ALWAYS used the word "bidness" (as in "I'm a bidness man"), for business. It was the only word I ever heard him mispronounce. FWIW, it may have been a speech impediment. (He had a good sense of humor, and might have only been doing it for the laughs, but he never seemed to try to get it right).
