I'm an @home customer, AT&T to be exact. At 8:15 CST, I no longer could access any pages. Not google.com, not cnn.com, none of the old standbys that ALWAYS work.
I've heard a lot about the poaaibility of @Home pulling the plug on 4.1 million customers. Did it happen? The only reason I can connect at all is that my lovely and gracious fiance also has a dialup account for when she is on the road, and I am calling in here using that. I am presently on hold on the AT&T@Home help line. I'll have more information.
Technically, the light is on but no pages are being connected. My Cable Modem is up and connected but nothing loads.

I'm glad you didn't fall for Mon Tues routine! The worst part is many businesses will suffer. How can Cox be up and running?

I'm receiving multiple messages that Comcast is still up. I'm glad for you but AT&T is clearly down. I'd use this time wisely and make sure you have a dialup connection. I got lucky and already had one.

My @Home service through Comcast in the Philly suburbs is still working fine; in fact, my up/down speeds are about 10% over normal. My Comcast@Home is okay in Northeast Philly.

Your angry.gif tried to put a cookie on my 'puter. You trying to track people? :)

Looks like AT&T screwed their customers. I got Cox@home, no problems in Oklahoma, even my e-mail's working.

I received an e-mail earlier today from racebannon indicating his service will terminate shortly. Good grief. This is some pretty absurd chit. In todays modern economy, you DON'T JUST CUT THE LINES on people!!!
Heads should roll, starting with that a&&wipe judge who permitted the destruction of 4.1 million people's links to the world. Today, the internet is just that, and that judge should pay, BUT HARD. Is this a-hole elected in his district? I'd like to send him back to his former job at 7-11.

Looks like AT&T screwed their customersIt may be just so. If no one else is having problems, it may be that AT&T cut the link themselves.
In which case I will be abandoning AT&T for DSL.

Thank you for the wise advice. I'm doing that now as we speak.

Dallas quit working about 8:15 a.m.
Thank GTE for the 56K line still up and running.
If the cable is not back and running Monday, the markets will tank.

No problems here in the Great White North.Well yeah! That's because there's only about 3 people in Canada with computers, and they are all huddled around them in their igloos for warmth!!! ;^)
Have you recently had to change your e-mail address for @home?
Nope. This looks regional. It looks like the Illinois region has been cut. Or it could be company wide on AT&T. Anyone with AT&T that is still connected via cable modem, speak up please!

MS:In Northeast Philly, we had the opposite experience. We had Verizon DSL, but frequent outages and mailbox restrictions drove us to switch to Comcast@Home. Zero problems now and no outages in the six months since we got it.
Laz: I hope ATT will get up and running soon. Maybe ATT drew the short straw to call the bluff. I hope that's the case. I can't see ATT Cox and Comcast throwing it all in the dumpster even for a few days.

Dallas is AT&T. So far, no phone call or any information.

My comcast@home is still ok here in NJ.
I also have @work for my office.
don't know how that is doing.
I hope it's is ok.

If the cable is not back and running Monday, the markets will tank.Hard. Look for a 400 to 500 point drop at the opening bell in the DJIA.

Is this a-hole elected in his district? He's a federal bankruptcy judge, so not just "no," but "hell no." I don't think BJs are lifetime appointments, but he definitely doesn't have to answer to any voters...

Here in Colorado, ATT&T is gone also. Sigh!

If anyone wants a dialup place to dive to in an emergency, take a look at
Maglobe. It's a dialup that you don't have to pay a monthly subscription, you just buy a chunk of hours. I use it when traveling with my laptop. It is reasonable and they have thousands of local phone numbers.
