Screw this plan. Pump in natural gas til it permeates the entire mountain then ignite it with a bunker buster. The explosion will be about the same size as a nuke.

Better yet, gasoline. If they can sit on that mountain and drill holes at the rate of 1000 ft./day they can sure as hell find a way to transport gasoline to the hole. Pump it in, it settles to the lowest parts of the "cave" and light it off. Make sure you have TV cameras set up to record the "event".
