Something tells me that it doesn't just take 'not beating your wife, not kicking your dog'to make a man a decent, admirable President. The terrorist attacks of 9/11 caused many people to react in many different ways, including our President, Congress and our government. Yes, even us, the sheeple. I am sure that he would not be taking some of the steps he is taking now and in the manner he is implementing them if these events had not occurred. Hard times lead to hard choices. I for one, am ok with how he is handling the entire situation. At least I don't have to sit here and loathe him like I did with 42.

I'm going to bed, but not before I say one last thing. It sickens me -- truly makes me SICK -- to hear people say that GWB had to basically abandon his principles because of the attack on the WTC.

It should be the exact opposite -- those Conservative credentials that the media was bitching about, and those Conservative ideals that he supposedly used to espouse but suddenly cast aside for the sake of consensus, are what are needed to fix the economy and avenge the deaths of our fellow citizens (my neighbors and friends). Abandoning one's principles pisses on the graves of those who died rather than honoring their memory.

This is what Bill Clinton has left us...a person who acts with conviction, honor and dignity...someone who honors and respects the office to which he was elected is held up as some kind of hero, rather than someone who, like us, does the right thing because it's the right thing.

And we all thank God we got "Socialist lite." No thanks.

I'm going off to not sleep. Thanks for your time.

P.S. = Cobbie, you're kind of slow, aren't you? Texans are usually pretty smart.

P.P.S. = No disrespect intended to anyone (but COB1).
