I remember the Islamic statements you mention. But they've been silent since. Perhaps the educated Muslims don't want to kill the infadels - but there aren't a billion of them. They need leadership to alter the false propoganda. If it isn't false in their minds.....we have a holy war on our hands ourselves.
Perhaps analogous....Democrats are repeating over and over how they back Bush, because if they don't, they're true motives will be in the minds of the people.
