With the ability to "Show your true colors" to all of Freeperdom, many who would not normally be motivated to take the step to pledge to any amount would do so. For the modest or those whom even $5 is more than can spare, one could elect to not show an asterisk.

I'm not alluding to a "caste system". More like displaying a star in ones window to declare pride that ones family member is in service to his country.

I agree. Maybe Jim and John could come up with a 5,000 member symbol. That symbol would let us know that Freeper was a regular giver of at least $5/month!

A lot of us are on fixed incomes, including me, and that is why I came up 5,000 Freepers who care are needed now!. I based that on a monthly contribution of $5/month to enable Jim to meet his minimal goals!

As I stated before, if a poster who I don't know posts a new thread or a reply and is one of the 5,000, I will pay more attention to that brother or sister than a non donor here since day 1!

Thanks for the input! Maybe Jim or John can come up with something simple and non caste system to recognize the 5,000 loyal monthly donors!
