21:14 Nov-29-01, 14 Kislev 5762 Major Terrorist Attack in Wadi Ara Area Large Bomb Explodes on Passenger Bus
(IsraelNationalNews.com) A powerful explosive device exploded a short time ago on an Egged passenger bus in the Wadi Ara area, at the intersection known as Machane 80.
There appear to be dead and injured. Additional confirmed details will be published as they become available.
Blast Tore Off Bus Roof |
(IsraelNationalNews.com) The powerful blast that was detonated on an Egged No. 823 bus after 8:00pm ripped through the vehicles metallic skin, tearing off a large portion of the roof. The blast occurred not far from the IDF Machane 80 base, not far from Hadera. Egged spokesman Ron Ratner reports the bus left Nazareth at 7:40pm, heading for Tel Aviv. The bus leaves Nazareth and travels via Emek Afula, the Wadi Ara area, making many stops along the way. The bus, that was relatively empty at the time of the attack, is usually heavily traveled by Israeli Arab residents from the Wadi Ara area. At this time, police are reporting at least three fatalities. Acknowledging it is too early to theorize, law enforcement ande security officials are already looking in the direction of nearby PA-controlled Jenin, infamously known as the terrorist capital, as the base from where terrorist set out for the attack. Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is at this time preparing to depart from Ben-Gurion International Airport for the US, where he is scheduled to meet with US President George W. Bush and senior administration officials. There has been no statement from aides to Mr. Sharon but there is already speculation the trip may be canceled for security reasons as was the case earlier this month. |
2 Dead 6 Wounded in Terror Attack Aboard Bus |
(IsraelNationalNews.com) Dr. Meir Oren of Hillel Yafeh Hospital in Hadera reports that six persons are being treated in the hospital at this time, with one listed in moderate condition and the remainder light. Two innocent persons were killed in the attack that took place near Pardes Chana on board a passenger bus after 8:00pm. The third body according to police is that of the suicide bomber, not an innocent victim as was believed earlier. |
Now... repeat after me: "Islam is a peaceful and loving religion."
Yes, and the Palestinian people are totally innocent, brutilized and murdered daily by the IDF and would never, ever cheer on acts of violence, let alone be responsible for such acts... Yeah, right.
What a breathtakingly idiotic statement!
Must it take a twin towers type islamic-terrorist attack on a European city to turn Europeans around?
Last time I checked, Christians did not worship a Pediphile. Not the least of the sickness called Islam. Or do you advocate Marrying a 6 year old?
God Bless America
Lady Heron didn't think you needed the intermediate steps in her logic spelled out.
The Aryan Nations are racist terrorists. They do not claim to be acting out of their Christian faith.
Based on past experience, whoever bombed the bus was likely expressing their Muslim beliefs.
Your statement was therefore breathtakingly idiotic.
I suppose you could quibble about aerobic capacity.
Bet the gulf states will moan - now, now, don't overreact...
terrorism is terrorism. If we let it happen there then we are hypocritical about trying to fully prevent it here.
There are many terrorists in the world who kill the innocent and proclaim that this is an expression of their religion, Islam. Let's call these people Group A.
Obviously Group A are members of the Islamic faith. We'll call the faith, Group B. Therefore, Group A is a subset of Group B.
Many here argue that Group A = Group B, that since some people murder in the name of Islam, then all of Islam advocates murder.
This is like saying that, since the KKK claims that the Bible supports their belief in white superiority, then all Christianity itself supports these beliefs. That's just wrong.
I don't deny that Islamic leaders could do a better job of denouncing such hatred. Unfortunately, they don't have Pope that can give some kind of pseudo-official statement on the matter on behalf of Islam, and is no one in the American Muslim community who claims to speak for all Muslims in the way that Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton claim to speak for all blacks.
I'm not about to defend the Muslim's "prophet" based on today's morality, likewise, I'm not going to defend the long line of Christians who have killed in the name of Christ. I agree that Jesus' example is much better than Muhammed's example and I am entirely comfortable as a Christian. And as a Christian, I'm not going to make generalizations and indict the religion of a billion people based on the actions of a few nuts (OK, a lot of nuts, and more than their should be).
After listening and learning about Osama Bin Laden and his Palestinian worshippers' evil designs for me, my family, friends, countrymen, Israel and Western civilization as a whole, I couldn't agree more...
Not at all, since the Bible does not teach to kill any religions. All incidents of killing ordered by God, was by a judge system after the individual was to be examined according to scripture, not according to an interpretation of scripture. Neither do the killings of nations count, because God himself ordered the Israelites to kill certain nations. Nowhere in the New Testament are we ordered to kill anyone. So, your comparison is innacurate.
We have quoted too many times here the anti-Semitism of the Koran, the direct call for the killing of Jews and Christians and the direct history of those who quote the Koran to do such acts. You are wrong on all counts.
In the same way we accept he enormous risk of driving in a car in our country. (1 in 4000 odds of dying in car accident each year in the USA) Yet we get extremly worked up about anthrax. Remember what big news was the AIDS epidemic when it first developed.
Terrorism in Israel now is just another serious car crash. Part of he cost of living.
