A washing machine?
Other material things?
I live in a small townhouse and I feel myself VERY blessed; you have no idea.
I do not devote my life to the pursuit of material things, nor do I put my hope in them (I hope!). As I have found, they can all be ripped away from you without notice; the only permanent and steadfast thing in this world and beyond is God.
Having material things is not a bad thing -- if we are thankful to God and have the proper attitude toward them there is nothing wrong. What is wrong is 1) judging God's favor toward you by how much you have 2) gluttony 3)putting your hope in earthly riches and 4) depriving the poor (and the church) while you bask in opulence.
Jesus sets forth plainly (starting with DO NOT COVET) that we are to be masters of money, not the other way around. These people plainly defy all of the Lord's teachings about money, and far, far worse, they deny and withhold the gospel from the people they pretend to "minister" to.
