Thanks for the ping. I sent the form letter followed up by an e-mail to Mark Rey. Mark is a former staffer for Senator Larry Craig...he's a good man... and a fellow forester if I remember right.

I got word this week that the deputy secretary of the department of agriculture has asked to review the planning record. that does not mean that he is going to review the chief of the forest service's decision, but wants to look at the record before he decides. I think political pressure helped make this decision. So we'll just have to wait and see what Mark Rey decides from there.
