I do remember those bad old days when teenage sexual desire clashed with taboos to produce profound guilt in those who did what comes naturally. I do know of the terrible and lasting psychological damage created by that guilt.

I also know that the such conflict and guilt over sexual desire is almost exclusively a feature of the Judeo-Christian cultures. You hardly ever see in other cultures that have not been infected.

Another thing to consider is that at the time of the origins of the Judeo/Christian taboos, people got married at a very young age thus really never faced the issues of having to surpress their teenage sexual desires.

I think that guilt is a GOOD thing, when someone has violated cultural norms (like prohibitions against murder, adultery, theft, lying, blasphemy) then it's GOOD to feel guilty. No society exists without guilt.

Liberals such as yourself believe this too...otherwise, they wouldn't attempt to socially coerce PC speech.

Since this is basically, and in the majority, a Judeo-Christian society, then the normal Judeo-Christian taboos would exist--this is bad because...?

If someone thinks stealing is a BAD thing, then my property is that much safer. If someone thinks adultery is a bad thing, then everyone's marriage is that much safer. If someone thinks murder is a BAD thing, then the lives of all around that person are much safer...you get my drift.

If sexuality is surrounded by ritual (meeting, dating, committing, and marrying) and taboo (no sex without the rituals observed), it is not necessarily a BAD thing--but I don't think you will agree, due to your judgemental remarks about the structure of Judeo-Christian society.
