I have it on good authority from someone that was on the set of the Lord Of The Rings film(s) that McKellen was quite open with his desires. He was in the company of an 18 year man who's inner thigh McKellen was feeling, while holding a conversation. Nothing illegal has been alleged about McKellen's actions (who knows, since the film was shot in New Zealand, 16 may even be a consensual age).

This same person told me that McKellen seemed proud at a question and answer session that an audience of young men (under 18) were in awe of him (having just seen clips of him portraying Gandalf).

The name that has come up in the Paul Reubens case has been revealed to be Jeffery Jones.

Another thread has revealed the name to be Jeffrey Jones. Since most people would only know him by seeing his picture (and this happened at Paul Reuben's house), Pee Wee's name is the one getting the press today.

You know, in re-reading my post I wish I hadn't phrased it the way I did.

I was attempting to use McKellen as an example of what the National Enquirer would consider a well known actor who happened to be gay and attempting to show that it was highly unlikely that Cruise, Gere, etc., were the culprits.

Instead, I inadvertently maligned McKellen who is a fine actor, as a possible pedophile.

If, for some reason, Mckellen reads this post (which I sort of doubt, but hey), I hope he accepts my apologies.
