See post #9 So, whenever someone points out that it is the LOVE of money that is the root of all evil, you refer them to post #9?
And the words in post #9 are "proof" that the love of money is NOT the root of all evil, is that correct?
Hmmm....whom should I believe? The Apostle Paul or Ayn Rand? Hmmm....the Word of God, or some dead philosopher? Hmmm...

BUMPUS MAXIMUS - this was an outstanding moment in the story - the chablis and brea crowd deserved to get a big dose of objectivism.

You believe whomever you like. I never asked you to believe anything. The logical argument is there, written in plain english and if you people would read it, all of it, instead of the first paragraph before you speak, I wouldn't have to keep refering you to post #9. I know the phrase is "The love of money is the root of all evil", and so Rand, which I clearly pointed out in POST #9

With apologies to Rand for my bracketed inclusion:
Run for your life from any man who tells you that [the 'love' of] money is evil. That sentence is the leper's bell of an approaching looter. So long as men live together on earth and need means to deal with one another - their only substitute, if they abandon money, is the muzzle of a gun.

Here's a novel idea, why don't you try thinking, instead of just blindly believing anybody. As for believeing Paul, you really need to read the passage (1 Tim. 6:10) again, because you even got that wrong.

For the last time, folks: Ayn Rand was talking about people with a barbarian mindset, who think money is the root of all evil. Whether or not this agrees with the "W.O.G." has nothing to do with the message being delivered in the quoted passage.
I guess one needs to be careful to consider whether their posts could be taken as Bible-thumper bait.
