Again, try backing your assertions up with facts.

In fact, over the past 20 years, the Big-12 has produced more National Championship teams than any other conference. Although those teams are either Nebraska (7), Oklahoma (3), or Colorado(1). Washington (3) is the only PAC-10 team to lay claim to a National Championship in the past 20 years. The SEC has produced 6 NC teams in the past 20 years. Second however to the Big-12 would be independent teams; Miami (7), Florida St. (6), Notre Dame and Penn St. (pre Big-10) each with 3. The Big-10 has produced 3 NC teams (Michigan (2) and Ohio State (1)) in the past 20 years.

Im not sure what poll the NCAA thinks gave FSU a share of the championship in 1996, but there is no trophy in the case at Doak Cambell. They obviously inlcuded any and every poll, because I noticed four teams in 1984, and I know Florida got the Sporting News trophy that year. UF was on probation and couldn't play. They went 9-1-1 and no team was undefeated. BYU got the AP or UPI and is considered to be National Champs in most circles.
