'Cody' strikes me as awful, and the excessive use of 'Madison' (pretentious?) of late is starting to get to me as well.

My kid's names are Cody and Madison. Cody cheerleads for the junior varsity and Madison is in the gun club. Or is it the other way around? Either way, watch it.
Just kidding. But you see where this thread could get dangerous.

And 'Cody' and 'Madison' are vulgar and snotty at the same time.
Even worse: pretentious "unisex" names, such as Taylor/Tyler.
How many obnoxious little "Tylers" are running around these days? (Hope I haven't offended any FReepers with that comment, but jeez, what bad taste.)

Donning Flame-Resistant Suit:
(BTW, most names I hate do tend to grow on me, and I'm sure I'll name my kid a name others consider yucky...)
;-)
NAMES THAT ARE welll..you know..., IMHO:
Logan
Madison
Joshua (I know, it's in the Bible. So is Methuselah.)
Cody
Addison
Caleb (see "Joshua")
Morgan
Anything with a "cutesy" twist on spelling; i.e., "Shelli"
Osama
Jackson
Austin
That's all for now

Madison for girls, yet. At least, I am familiar with this name used for girls.
