The check is written and in today's mail. Sorry it did not go out Saturday.
It was kind of a busy week-end. Support the Troops Rally on Friday night, then an FSU basketball game. On Saturday, a noon FSU football game, then dinner with friends and finally another FSU basketball game.
Thanks for being patient.

PING. Your pledges arrived by mail today.
On behalf of the soldiers, THANK YOU!!
To: patriciaruth
It's about time! I guess it takes forever for mail to get from VA to CA.
THANK YOU patriciaruth for all your hard work!

PING. $2048.25 of cash/checks in hand.
Fast work, y'all!

Pledges still caught in holiday mail, or installment plan pledges which will go in the mail in the future:
around $800
To: Torie; jwalsh07
Expenses of around $3150 still need double checking and itemization posting, which I'll do soon.
To: patriciaruth
The pledges still outstanding include an anonymous donor and a lurker doctor in Texas, whom I can't ping.
To: patriciaruth
Mailed my pledge this morning, it's coming from NY. Hope it doesn't take too long to reach you!
To: patriciaruth; Jim Robinson
This is ASTOUNDING!
I got the chills reading your posts! What a great group of people we have at FR! I'm pinging Jim just because he ought to know about this!

BUMPITY BUMP to one and all!!!!!
To: patriciaruth
Still holding my breath, beginning to turn blue.
To: patriciaruth
Hi Patricia: Sounds like you are around $300 short. Maybe another $10-$20 from a few of us would get you to your number. Is this the amount you need? Let us all know and we can try to divvy up more.
Thanks,
TC

Check your Freepmail!

$2048.25 of cash/checks in hand. Great! That is good news. :-)
BTW, I received a nice thank you from the Chaplain at Task Force Falcon today. It's nice to know that they received my package.
To: jwalsh07
Your divvy share is down to around $142, so please breathe.
Of course, that is if everyone comes through on their pledges.
It started up at 225, so those FReepers coming through with their late pledges for a little here and a little there are really helping you out!:-D
And I still have one big pledge out that I am not sure about because I think she is a lurker and I haven't heard from her since her pledge. BUT, she sounded like an upstanding lady, so I think she is probably just busy.
To: patriciaruth
Sed me your address, I'll send something.
To: Mama_Bear
Really glad to hear your package got there!!
We are going to be real excited and anxious here till we hear back about the big box. And that won't be till after Christmas as that is when the commander in the field is going to pass out our packages with the black silk scarves, except for Mountaingirl's scarves will be dark brown silk as she bought that silk herself.
I've got to go and print out some last minute holiday messages for the troops.

Last chance to send a holiday email message to a soldier in the field through this avenue. This latest PING list will self-destruct at 9 am PST, Tuesday, December 4.
Your message will be printed out and put in a box going to a camp overseas to the 101st Airborne. No charge.
If you FReepmail me your message by Private Reply, please consider putting your hometown and state in the message as that means a lot to the soldiers. If you wish privacy but want to send a note, just use your FReepname at FreeRepublic.com. Many people have put their email addresses or even their snail mail addresses for the soldier.
You can also email me a message at
