1998 seems to be the year al-Qaeda started operating in the USA. It seems al-Qaeda piggeybacked on Clinton's war on Yugslavia when his administartion was using Islamic resources for a covert war on Milosevic. Read more about it @ BIN LADEN GATE

I am sure the water quality is fine.

Misale posted $500 bail and was scheduled for a Dec. 4 hearing in court.

That's an awfully small bail for someone who is perhaps suspected of terrorism, even though no evidence was found of tampering. Misale probably won't show in court if he is guilty.

Deportation? HELLLLOOO McFLYYY? How about a vice grip on his manhood till he tells us who sent him? As I have said before, deporting a terrorist to another country is like finding a rattlesnake in your bed and deporting him to your bedroom floor - he'll be baaaack.

The INS needs a royal kick in the ass. Fire the administrators, get some people in there who will get the job done. And close our borders tight until they do.

The INS today is a pathetic embarrasing joke!

It is unfortunate that in these perilous times that we have to wait for a person to commit a crime before we can arrest them -- and I am not being sarcastic.

We can only guess at their intentions when they are caught scouting out a place for a possible terrorist assault. Apparently the 19 hijackers had done nothing criminal prior to 9-11, though hind-sight now tells us that there were a few clues, had we known what to look for. Taking lessons for flying a plane and not wanting to know how to take-off or land is not a criminal offense -- or at least it didn't use to be.

So how do we stop these would-be terrorists, when all we have is our suspicions of what they might have had in mind? My vote is to deport them and at least make it more difficult for them to come back. (That, of course, is not my first instinct, but we are supposed to be a civilized society).

Freedom and civil rights can be a real bitch when you are expected to extend the same to your enemies.
