I am glad you enjoyed your time in Kentucky. Your memories are especially vivid of Lexington. Some of the people who live here couldn't name as many of the farms as you did. I am seeing the area through new eyes as I teach my granddaughter her family history. She is 9 years old and a direct descendant of the man who built the first cabin in Lexington.
you shudda picked a more highly esteemed profession, in my view. :)
As for my profession, we have to have some of the good guys able to speak legalese...:) I take my oath to defend the Constitution very seriously.
And I put in ten years as an Army wife before going to law school so I am firmly in the protect and defend mode.
I'm happy to hear you are teaching your granddaughter her family history....I've been studying genealogy for a while and could kick myself in the arse for not having started much earlier to gain an appreciation of what prior generations went through.
You are, of course, correct in your assessment of needing some 'good guys' (and gals :) ... just angers me that it is attorneys that are writing all the legalese crapola--sort of like a permanent job guarantee! Oh well.....that's the way the mop flops.
