Though your reply was to someone else, please take note I have yet to mention slavery.

Are you and the guy from Illinois playing tag team? He responds to my posts to you and you respond to my posts to him? No matter, okay I take note that you didn't bring up slavery...it is usually people in the border states that do that...and then they accuse us of still fighting the war. They keep wanting us to admit they were "right" ...fat chance.

Now in response to your pig pickin' skills...do you just pick 'em...or kill 'em yourself? And does it get cold enough in whatever part of NC you are in to do that? I am assuming you are talking about your youth in rural New York. We always did our hog killings in the late fall after the crops were in and the weather was cooler.

Also, the reason I tried to make a point to you about the different areas of the country is because I have found in my travels that the country is not divided by regions as much as it is divided by big city, small town, and rural. Small town people seem to be the same all over, north, south and west.

The major differences between people is clearly more along big city/small town lines than North/South.

I didn't grow up in "rural" NY, but I didnt grow up in NYC or anywhere near it. But just a few miles from my home was "farm country". One of my college roommates grew up on a cattle farm in Darien NY. Man, loved when he went home to help with the slaughter. Would bring back a bunch of meat for us. Great stuff.

I dont raise and kill my own pigs, though I wouldn't have a problem doing it if I had the ability and knowledge. I buy my pigs already dressed. Had never even heard of a Pig Pickin before I moved here. Loved 'em and taught myself. Whenever relatives from NY come down to visit I insist that we have one at my house.

I don't care what you think. But if you sore Confederate losermen say that the South had a better economy than the North and that you were the one that was right in the Civil War, there's going to be a response. If you don't like it and don't want refutations, send e-mails.

So why do you guys constantly make bigoted comments about the North?
