I'm all for that. Most people are totally unaware of New Mexico and we should keep it that way, I was in Michigan last summer and found you have to make reservations to go camping!! It was a cultural shock because I never heard of having to do that before. Also all I see there are fences and once you get used to the wide open spaces, it's impossible to go back. I'll take bears and coyotes over people any day.

The dry air appeals to the elderly but that's about the only advantage I can see. I prefer the greenery of the Eastern states.

That's what private land is for up north. I couldn't stay at a campground there.
Nothing like open spaces up there though. I saw two bears last time I was in the North Country.
