Come on everyone let's stop these silly theories and speculation.

Where have all these anthrax spores been floating around?
In countless post offices and the mail.

Somehow, somewhere, the two women got in contact with a piece of infected mail,
perhaps at the hairdresser's, as someone suggested, or a grocery store.

And a 94 year old woman with low resistance probably could be infected with just a few spores
from a magazine that just slightly touched another infected envelope.

All this speculation is interesting, and some here are very good at it. But, this is like playing "Clue" with half the cards missing. There's no way the FBI has revealed even half of what they know. Also, what they have released is likely to include a fair amount of deliberate misinformation.

I agree.

The simplest explanation is that both women got mail that passed through one of the affected post offices or perhaps one of the affected government offices and, as a result, were exposed due to cross contamination. And, unfortunately, there are going to be some people in any given population who are more susceptible to infection than others ... just as there are some who could probably sit in a room full of the spores and never come down with anything.

This is all a distraction from focusing on the FIRST case where the person who died lived near some the hijackers and whose wife apparently had even closer contact with them. That case is why all this talk of domestic terrorism and serial murderers is not to be believed.
