You said there is reason to believe he, Osama, didn't. That suggests that you think someone else was the mastermind. And I'm asking, humbly and respectfully, to share your suspicions with those of us, who have less well honed attenae, as to just whom that might be. Thanks.

"Of course it matters Free, thats a pretty stupid question even coming from somebody defending bin Laden and that idiot Harry Browne all in one thread."
I imagine they said that about Adams when he defended the British soldiers in the Boston Massacre.

BTW, when I asked if it mattered, I was reffering to Nopardons when S/he asked me if I had cats, etc.
To: Freeman Patrick Henry
Sorry........nevermind Nopardons.

I imagine they said that about Adams when he defended the British soldiers in the Boston Massacre. Wisdom such as you have exhibited here is rare indeed. You really should post under your given name so the world can give you the praise you so well deserve.
To: Freeman Patrick Henry
I guess you won't be addressing it. Why am I not surprised?
To: jwalsh07
Please don't be sarcastic, JW. And truth to tell, I wouldn't trust many of the people here with my given name.

I wouldn't trust many of the people here with my given name. Apparently the guy hasn't totally lost it. He has certain basic primitive survival instincts.

I don't suspect anyone else. I'm just saying that if there is evidence, it needs to be produced. There are no such things as "American rights." Natural rights, God given rights, yes. Not "American rights." Everyone deserves the right to be presented with the evidence against them and be given a chance to refute it.

JW, see my comment prior. It should suffice to answer your question.
To: Freeman Patrick Henry; Torie
It doesn't. I leave you to joust with Sir Thinknot. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
To: Freeman Patrick Henry
If you don't have any evidence that anyone else did it, why do you suspect that Osama didn't? Would it be more accurate to say that if you were a juror, that you have not been made privy to sufficient evidence to find him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt?
As for myself, he should be killed without a trial or a jury, after being tortured and drained of all he knows. He wasn't in Afghanistan as a tourist, and he didn't have a cohort of rather noxious folks around him armed to the teeth, with nuke plans in the safe, just as a hobby. If he is ultimately miraculously innocent of everything regarding which if he were the perp he would deserve a slow and hideous death, then he is just rather delightful collateral damage. Cheers.

And thus the enlightened one resorts to his home territory-calling people names. It is a sad fact, but tactics do reflect on intelligence.
To: Torie
I have reasonable doubt that he didn't do it, because I have not been presented any evidence that he did. Say, if torture is fine for Osama, who else is it OK for? Prostitutes? Drug dealers? I know you care little for the Bill of Rights, but there is a reason tortue is unconstitutional.
To: Freeman Patrick Henry
Everyone deserves the right to be presented with the evidence against them and be given a chance to refute it.Again, this is true in a courtroom, not a war. What does what happens in a war have to do with what individuals deserve?
Did the people in the WTC 'deserve' what happenned to them?
Did the people in Dresden, Tokyo, Hiroshima, and Nagasaki 'deserve' what happenned to them?
Did the people in Georgia, 'deserve' what Sherman and the Union troops did to them?
Did the people of Lawrence, Kansas 'deserve' what Quantrell did to them?

Oh geez, now in addition to being a freeman, and a layman lawyer, you are now a Constitutional scholar. The Constitution is not a suicide pact. Ain't life in America grand?

Can it thus be concluded that in war, basic human rights are suspended? Namely, the right to life? Evidently so.
To: Torie
Yes. I just love seeing doors being kicked in, people being drug out, and seeing lives shattered apart by this great government of ours that decides the people can't use ecstacy.
