I'm with you there.
...diversity of viewpoints, open debate and the exchange of beliefs and ideas...Are you advocating a one-party political system? Your suggestions seem to be the antithesis of the above quote. If you "get rid" of the Dems and all the moderate Republicans, who is left to present a diversity of viewpoints?
Now, as I mentioned, this country's freedom is all about of diversity of viewpoints. The problem here is you have liberals, progressives and moderates who insist that conservatives compromise on their beliefs and go along with their way of thinking. You see, this misguided idea is based on a misguided premise that liberals are the presumpitve authority and conservatives are the interlopers and that when we win something, the idea here is that well it's a mistake and it'll be corrected in due course.
It's like the Right-to-Work issue here in Oklahoma. We won it by a 54 to 45 margin but see the other side seems to think that well, that's a mistake, the public is really not for it and we'll take it to court and the judge will decide that the people really didn't want it and throw it out.
See folks, the reality here is that liberals live in their own dream world. They think the vast majority of Americans think like them and when elections like this don't produce the desired result, well they assume wrongdoing and try to overturn the results because you see folks, they are the presumptive authority.
The bottom line here folks, and whether you like Rush or not he is right on this:
YOU JUST CAN'T GET ALONG WITH LIBERALS!!!
Now folks, that's the absolute truth and we as conservatives had best realize it if we are going to win this battle for the hearts and minds of the American public.
Regards.
