AMBRIDGE - Former president Bill Clinton yesterday blamed himself for not building stronger ties with the Muslim world during the 1990s, and criticized his administration and that of his predecessor, George H. W. Bush, for abandoning Afghanistan after the Soviet occupation of that country ended in 1989.

As Lt. McCaffrey of the FDNY stated in the New York Daily News recently; "Bill Clinton's legacy sits as a smouldering ruin at the corner of Liberty and West Streets (in NYC)". What a great poster that would make...take one of the most horrifying shots of the World Trade Center from September 11th, underscored with the phrase "Bill Clinton's Legacy". I'd buy one, and send a few to my liberal acquaintances. It would also make a great sign to Freep the SOB with.

"read this................and although it's very, very rare for me, I just don't know where to begin."

How about "aimlessly rambling, finger in the wind, international focus group tested, meaningless platitudes with no objective moral grounding".

He thinks he's still the President. Someone apparently forget to tell him.

Do you notice something strange--not one of the people from his administration has come out with a 'tell all' book. Now, this is remarkable since there is a lot to tell about his corrupt 8 years. Yet no one has stepped forward. Why? I would think that the lure of money (and the truth) might have touched one of the players. Yet not one has come forward. Could it be that they know how dirty the Clinton's play and they know that the Clinton's have dirt on everyone.

It still is early for most books. Also, the 9/11 events stopped the interest in this stuff for awhile. I'm sure a few people have books mostly or totally written. Anyway, what can the insiders tell us that is new, shocking, or a suprise?

I agree that it was his job to win popular support for the pursuit of terrorism, and Clinton was completely incapable of it. He never had the moral authority to lead us successfully thorough this battle. This war is very intertwined with religion and morality, and Clinton never could convincingly go there.

If Clinton tried to rally support for going after Osama after the first WTC, the US embassy or the USS Cole bombings, no one would have trusted him. Not Democrats, not Republicans, not Russians and not Europeans. Every syllable would have been dissected, questioned and investigated. He was wholly incapable of the kind of leadership that this requires. And worse for him, he risked alienating his allies in the media, academia and the political left by taking down several governments with military force. And they were essential to his domestic survival.

will help bring the West and the Islamic world closer together...Why? That would be taking my world closer to the only remaining group of organized barbarians outside China.

The only people in America who will listen to him are the college kids. The adults refuse to have him. These kids are young enough to be impressed by someone like Clinton. They grew up with Clinton in charge, with his media and with his morals. Most of them don't know anything else.

Isn't that kinda like Hitler got started?

The question to ask is, if he's not appealing to Americans--at least not broad groups of them--who DOES find him appealing?

This guilt-ridden crap from X42 is just self-serving. Forget the "poor Arabs." These bastards are anit-modern. Give them all the money in the world, they will still live in dirt. Face it. The Taliban and their like are boy-buggering, women-hating, religious bigots who given the ability would nuke countless women and children, as long as they are American. These people are cancer cells and no doctor in the world hesitates to kill cancer cells. How much money did X42 make from that speech? Did he donate it to the survivors of the WTC?

America can exert influence, he said, by admitting its own faults and making clear that the West does not pose a threat to the Islamic faith or to the economic well-being of Muslims.

OWillie bin Lyin' always gets it wrong.  He doesn't want the West to pose a threat to the Islamic faith -- but it's ok for the Islamists to pose a threat to us.

Will we never get rid of these Blame America Firsters?

CNN, there's a useless piece of... you know. While flipping throught the channels on the way to FOX, I saw an excerpt of the disgraced one's speech.
My TV is going to get a complex if I keep screaming at it.
I am sick of his un-american, idiotic notions. Same old song, blame America first.
Words cannot convey how much I detest this man.

"Clinton called on the current Bush administration to adopt a strategy of development aid, targeted debt-relief, and new trading opportunities to strengthen ties with Muslim nations."

Not interested. No thanks. How about we spend our tax dollars more creatively within our own borders? The only thing I'm interested in with Muslim nations is their complete inability to destroy any more of our property and people.

I know where to begin!!! Let Bill take the $10 Million he is going to recieve for his book and the beast take the $8 Million she is getting for her book and apply it to the national debt of one of the countries they are trying to get us to forgive their debt. That country can give it to the US since they owe it and settle part of their debt!!!
