If you could choose between the Constitutional rights of a terrorist or the lives of many innocents, what would they choose I wonder?

A false dichotomy. If it were that simple, why would anyone want consitutional rights for anyone suspected by the government of criminal activity, citizen or no citizen.

Well, there is a difference between criminal activity and mass-murder. Or should we care about the Constitutional rights of people like Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini. My comment was ment to illustrate that the world is a safer place when these kind of people are dead.
