Two things. First, John Gibson came to the attention of FOX after beating featured nightly on Geraldo's show during the OJ fiasco. In fact, I watched Geraldo every night because of John. You could tell Geraldo trusted John to give the straight story. Second, the reason there is always a balance of 3 libs and 1 conservative is that it only requires one conservative to outwit the others.

A note. In Mark Fuhrman's book about OJ, he relates being at his lawyer's house one night when John Gibson showed up in his reporter's mode (he was with someone whose name I can't remember). He said Gibson agreed to 'off the record'. Furhman said 'to my knowledge, he never uttered one word of that conversation to anyone - a real rarity in reporters'. That made me like Gibson even more.

John Gibson is one of my favorites on Fox. I try not to miss his "last word" segment. The guy is a great reporter.

"There is always a balance of 3 libs and 1 conservative....it only requires one conservative (Gibson) to outwit the others.

LOL!

BTW, I first started watching Gibson the same reason you'd stated. He's been an excellent voice of reason ever since -- and he seems very honorable as Fuhrman concurs.

You got that right!

The definition of a 'bigot' is a conservative who is winning an argument with a liberal.
