It is impossible to be in doctrinal harmony with say a Mormon or a Presbyterian. We just are not the same, our understanding of our practice of our faith is different from theirs. It does not mean that we see these groups as heathen. It does mean that we see these groups as not in harmony.

I find the inclusion of Presbyterians with Mormons interesting...By any stretch of the imagination Presbyterians are Christians.. (just in case you didn't notice) they believe in Salvation by Faith ,as an act of Gods grace and not by works, and scripture as inherent and the final authority.

My Wesleyan church is going to share some of our space with a Presbyterian church that has just split...We see no doctrinal problem...

Mom of 7, I did not at all imply that the presbyterians are not Christian. What I said is that Baptists and presby's have doctrinal differences (infant baptism being a biggy) that prevent us from being in true harmony with each other. Personally, I think the Presby's preaching of the doctrine of grace is the nearest thing out there to the Baptists understanding of the same.

Seven children!! What were you thinking?! LOL just kidding. :)

Presbyterians ordain practicing gays and lesbians to the gospel ministry. They have sponsored many gatherings at which various other deities than YHWH or Jesus are worshipped. Many Presby ministers don't believe or preach one word of any confession or creed of historic Christianity, and it they do they may be persecuted by headquarters for it.

Mohler, who regularly condemns religious pluralism and its notion that all faiths are equally legitimate, also said in his chapel talk that Jews and Muslims do not serve the same God as Christians.

Amen! It's about time someone spoke the truth. And before someone accuses Dr. Mohler of being narrow-minded remember that it was Jesus Christ himself that said no one could come to the Father but through Him. Christ himself stated, "I am the way, the truth and the life." Talk about exclusive! Again I say Amen! Preach it!!
