Cards are hard to wear on your forehead or hand. But certainly all the technology to make it happen has been in place for years.

You're a little late...

THE HISTORY OF THE ISLAMIC DINAR AND DIRHAM

In the beginning the Muslims used gold and silver by weight and the dinar and dirhams that they used were made by the Persians.

The first dated coins that can be assigned to the Muslims are copies of silver dirhams of the Sassanian Yezdigird III, struck during the Khalifate of Uthman, radiy'allahu anhu. These coins differ from the original ones in that an Arabic inscription is found in the obverse margins, normally reading "in the Name of Allah". Since then the writing in Arabic of the Name of Allah and parts of Qur'an on the coins became a custom in all mintings made by Muslims.

Under what was known as the coin standard of the Khalif Umar Ibn al-Khattab, the weight of 10 dirhams was equivalent to 7 dinars (mithqals) In the year 75 (695 CE) the Khalifah Abdalmalik ordered Al-Hajjaj to mint the first dirhams, thus he established officially the standard of Umar Ibn al-Khattab. In the next year he ordered the dirhams to be minted in all the regions of the Dar al-Islam. He ordered that the coins be stamped with the sentence: "Allah is Unique, Allah is Eternal". He ordered the removal of human figures and animals from the coins and that they be replaced with letters.

This command was then carried on throughout all the history of Islam. The dinar and the dirham were both round, and the writing was stamped in concentric circles. Typically on one side it was written the "tahlil" and the "tahmid", that is, "la ilaha ill'Allah" and "alhamdulillah"; and on the other side was written the name of the Amir and the date. Later on it became common to introduce the blessings on the Prophet, salla'llahu alayhi wa sallam, and sometimes, ayats of the Qur'an.

Gold and silver coins remained official currency until the fall of the Khalifate. Since then, dozens of different paper currencies were made in each of the new postcolonial national states created from the dismemberment of Dar al-Islam.

Your post is certainly dated--but the danger hasn't gone away. I just heard public radio yesterday quote Jerkowitz: "The Constitution may guarantee privacy but NOT annonymity." Then another "expert" said: "The nat'l ID would do away with RACIAL PROFILING."(!!)

Wrong on both. Nowhere toes the Constitution guarantee privacy nor would the card do away with racial profiling. Quite the opposite.

A mark of the beast that is all too common nowadays is the "rubber stamp"--as in,AMEN to "I'm from the Government, and I'm here to help."

Regardless of the prophetic implications, the government is becoming less accountable while it takes away more of our freedom. They are quickly moving toward being our prison guards. Neither major political party now supports the constitution in practice.

Good Mark - Bad Mark

Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Mammon = 'that in which one trusts' (the things of this world)

Matthew 6:19-21

19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word* of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

* Deut 11:18

As it was in the days of Noe...

Genesis 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

This is my guess, and it's only a guess based on watching how one thing follows another, and how things seem to be shaking out.

The government, any government world wide, in attempting to fix something that is bad always institutes something that is worse. Sooner or later their attention will turn to the high interest rates charged on credit cards. The government is going to want it's part of that action, and will issue it's own credit/debit card, or in conjunction with banks manage to find a way to dip it's beak a little.

It won't be suprising to see the NID also be used to charge things at a much lower interest rate than is charged by banks, or it may be able to track purchases, it gives the IRS the perfect vehicle to know exactly how much money everyone has and their spending habits which, if they want, can be sold to merchandizers. This is not the mark of the beast, people may have credit cards, or one national id, or an implant in your right hand that a scanner can pick up, but they will become useless eventually unless the mark of the beast is also present in your hand or forehead. The ink that could be used for this is already available, it's invisible to the naked eye, yet can be picked up by scanner, there are many things that can be used.

All these things are incremental, one harmless step at a time, until after the trap is set, not by man, but by Satan, the one who I believe is behind all the conspiracy theories. It just makes those in government think a person is nuts to think they are engaged in some conspiracy other than to cover their on guilty tracks. It makes them think you are just as nuts to believe there will be a world dictator.

Just imagine using these cards or id's world wide for a number of years, only to have a world dictator take over and demand his mark on you before you are able to buy or sell, and you, unlucky soul, are already registered in the system. A sudden stop of activity in your accounts or card will send a red flag that says, investigate this.

Some, that study the prophecies of the bible, and believe the USofA to be Babylon, feel that we won't be around for the mark anyway, as we are destroyed in a plot cooked up by the anti-Christ to destroy us in one hour and step into the void we create as a world power. Pre-Ben Ladin, the idea that one individual could influence a group of nations to destroy the USofA would have been snickered at, but as time passes all things are revealed.

Probably rubbing his hands with glee as he says that.

Such a card will be an electronic leash from the government around the neck of every citizen.

We already have cameras springing-up in public spaces; once a national ID card becomes reality, the day will follow when electronic sensors spring-up on every corner to monitor every move we make.

Never in history would a government have had such control over its citizens.

And while this may not be a problem for the law-abiding ruled by a government of the people--what would happen if our government is one day usurped by a tyrant?

You think America could never be ruled by a Stalin?

How many of you thought 911 could never happen?

Applied Digital Solutions (ADSX) is working on a tracking/monitoring system that runs off body heat.

Implants are just one step away.

BS. No way. They are nothing but an inconvenience. I haven't heard one good reason why we should have them. President Bush....the people do not want id cards. I have enough id to last me a life time. There are other ways to defend our nation and one of them is to obey the laws already on the books; like return the illegals to their respective countries. In fact, I am sick of our government floating ideas like the Klintoons always did and than ignore what the people want. We don't want an database either. You already know enough about us than you ever need to know and it appears you don't bother using the information when it comes to real crime anyway. Only to control the people because a few idiots who are in charge are paranoid enough to think absolute control will work.
