PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) -- Actor Danny Glover has called on the United States government to spare the life of Osama bin Laden, even if he is found guilty of being involved in terrorist acts.

Glover, who starred in "The Color Purple" and the "Lethal Weapons" series, made the comments Thursday during an anti-death penalty forum at Princeton University, The Trentonian of Trenton reported in Friday's editions.

Danny Glover's comments are of the caliber that will help to ensure the death penalty remains around in the U.S for a long time to come. Most Americans don't take political comments from celebrities all too seriously. And when they are as stupid as Glover's, they just ignore them. There were executions in Texas and Georgia and normally they would be played up in the murderer-loving media, got only back page treatment today. The anti-death penalty movement in the U.S has fallen on hard times and Glover can't help them there what with their inability to see that sometimes the death penalty is perfectly JUSTIFIED.
