"What was FOX thinking? Ratings, my friend. (It's the November sweeps, don't you know.)
Geraldo will have much to prove to conservatives after the way he gushed over Bill and Hillary, and I'd personally be extremely suspicious of any sudden "sea-change" in his ideological thought.
But, some things HAVE changed since 9-11, and when leftist Michael Moore actually admits IN WRITING that maybe his gun control views have been wrong all these years, I'm willing to at least acknowledge the possibility that some erstwhile wackos are having second thoughts about a few things.
Look at it this way: the war has taken away half of the sickening political correctness we suffered under throughout the 90's. It would have taken another 50 years of calm, rational explanations of reality to achieve the same result.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't change of the liberal media what we want and need?
You must be addicted to the Media Koolaid if you think Geraldo is changing his spots. He is nothing more than a liberal, self aggrandizing Clinton apologist. He jumped ship from his failing perch at CNBC, promising FOX News a fresh, bold view from the war zone. Geraldo will appoint himself as the "on-scene" anti-terror news source with his own leftist spin and FOX News will end up regretting the relationship.

My point is this: at the moment, he's no longer spouting his leftist puke, correct? I'm going to take that as a small step in the right direction. I also welcomed Dan Rather's surprising support of President Bush that night on Letterman. Perhaps they won't really change but it looks like they might and those are steps in the right direction. It's what we supposedly want from the media.

The only step in the right direction for those two clowns (Geraldo and Rather) is away from the mike and off the stage.

Doing what I already do, refuse to lend them my ears or eyes in order to maintain their "legitimacy" as journalists. It just bothers me that FOX News has taken this turn. I hope they pull out of the dive in time.

According to Orenthal James Simpson, Geraldo Rivera's true name is Gerry Rivers. OJS calls him a Puerto Rican Jew. Nice huh?
