Taliban leader vows destruction of United States
Khalej Times ^ | November 15, 2001 | AFP

LONDON: Taliban leader Mullah Mohammed Omar warned Thursday of a "big" plan to destroy the United States which could happen within a short period of time, according to an interview on BBC radio.

In the interview, conducted in Pashto for BBC World Service radio, he also refused any cooperation with the formation of a new broad-based government in Kabul. "The current situation of Afghanistan is related to a big cause -- that is the destruction of America," he added.

"The plan is going ahead and God willing it is being implemented, but it is a huge task beyond the will and comprehension of human beings. "If God's help is with us this will happen within a short period of time." "Keep in mind this prediction." He said the Taliban preferred death to taking part in what would be an evil government, saying the struggle for a broad-based regime had been going on for 20 years and nothing had come of it.

Asked about sweeping gains by opposition forces, which have seen them take the Afghan capital Kabul and a swathe of the north of the country, he said the Taliban still held their southern stronghold of Kandahar. He also said it was unimportant how many provinces fell, as territory lost could be regained. - AFP

(1) MarkWar, if the ChiComs tried to come in by container ship, about the only thing you'd have to do is destroy the port facility they're using. Container ships require specialized gear to unload, and it is not done in a hurry.
(2) And as for my motives, ... BTW, thank you for questioning my integrity--innuendo is typically the last refuge of the scumbag, and it's nice to see your true colors.

(1) This is a great example of what I'm talking about, Poohbah. IF you're going to war with somebody, THEN you wouldn't have to use specialized docks & gear to unload a container ship. You'd just beach the wretched things and blow the effing hull apart and charge off of it... (Or, if you're sneaking people in, then a great deal of unloading happens at night and containers are NEVER opened at the dock, so it hardly matters if it takes special equipment or a long time -- you just offload the containers to trucks/trains, and trans-ship them to someplace where the people can unload at their leisure...)

(2) I didn't mean to make any comments via innuendo. I meant to flat out say it: I think you're some kind of pro or semi-pro disrupter who hangs out here to squash speculations and keep discussions within "acceptable" bounds by ridiculing people who either insightfully or accidently stumble upon a wild truth. (However I wasn't attacking your integrity -- I assume people who engage in such activity believe strongly in their values and have the passion to act on them. I just personally don't like attacking creative thought in an open forum for any reason.)

He said the Taliban preferred death to taking part in what would be an evil government ...

I'm sorry. I didn't catch the difference ... Besides, as I recall, nobody INVITED them to be part of ANYTHING, except fertilizer.

If any nukes go off in the USA, then Moolah will see a unity and resolve that he cannot imagine. All the gloves will come off then. No qualms about torture, internment and nuclear retaliation. His celebration will be very short, I can promise you!

I am sure this is probably true, but I hope and pray we never find out for sure.

1) Does the description of "Mystery Babylon" apply to America _better_ than it has applied to any country/area/entity throughout all history?

Uhhh, no...

2) Does the _destruction_ sound like "just" a terrorist attack (or series),

Not really...

or something geophysical?

A whole lot worse.

-- then I think this chapter gives a modern American a lot to think about.

Not unless you believe the ancestors of America killed the 'prophets and the saints and of all who have been killed on the earth'. "Mystery Babylon" is no mystery, it is the economic, political, educational, and most importantly, religious, leadership that will occur during the time of AC. This will be a time of great prosperity and peace, for those who follow AC.

That's another way to look at it.

Guess I didn't realize you had such a COMPREHENSIVE, PhD level, exhaustive, thorough, deep, broad understanding of BS with which to make such refined discrimminations about what qualifies and what doesn't.

I assume, though, that it's a lot easier to just label everything outside your biases and experience as BS. . . . though given your claims to integrity, I wonder how you sleep at nights.

You have yet to offer an alternate plausible explanation for such huge numbers of inputs of such consistency from such a diversity of sources. HOW DO YOU EVEN EXPLAIN IT IN YOUR MIRROR???

Certainly the Chicoms will have challenges reaching our shores in numbers. . . but given their pride, they probably are not setting themselves up for wholesale failure. . . I suspect there are other factors besides Bimbo Crusher's devastating our military. . . . other factors which will assist the Chicom's efforts to do us in.

Imagine that the reports on their presence on our Mexican border are true. . . . that their presence with missles in Cuba is true. . . WHAT MIGHT THEY BE UP TO? Movie making?

Now THAT'S BS.

"are there any significant dates on the horizon..."

Not that I am aware of. It seems as though someone is always coming up with a significant date or some warning that we should be careful. None of these things have anything specific that we can guard against.

MY! INTERESTING how some folk seem so easily threatened, offended, outraged, indignant toward diversity . . . . . . . . . . . .or merely someone with a very different perspective and set of experiences. Your definition of insanity appears to be predictably unlearned, astronomically biased and overwhelmingly ignorant.

You evidently missed the part about net related documents being only a part of the data stream.

And, I'm sorry your training or discrimmination skills are so weak that you haven't a clue about how to filter out signal from the noise in net documents. It's a vast resource. Sorry it's so useless to you. It must cause major synaptic frizzout to view the web as a homoganized mass of slightly varying off white--oh--I'm sorry--no doubt for you--it would be slightly varying amorphous blobs of black.

And you haven't noted what you think the Chicoms are doing with the Mexicans at our border as well as in Cuba.

Perhaps you think they are learning to make tacos?

BTW, how many eyewitnesses of my friends in San Diego will you require before you accept something as truth?

You might line up some counseling yourself. Your world view is due for some major jangling in the next months-few years.

"...but it is a huge task beyond the will and comprehension of human beings."

Uh, if it's beyond the will and comprehension of human beings, then how can he know about it? Could be within the will and comprehension of jackasses perhaps, or creepy-crawly thingys that live under rocks...

Elaboration on the quote by Omar the Tentmaker, "hopeful for God's help," From The Guardian:

The current situation in Afghanistan is related to a greater cause - the destruction of America," Mullah Omar claimed.

Asked to clarify, he went on: "The plan is going ahead and, God willing, it is being implemented. It is a huge task which is beyond the will and comprehension of human beings. If God's help is with us, this will happen within a short period of time: keep in mind this prediction."

It was not a matter of weapons, he went on, when the questioner asked if he was talking about using nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against the United States. "We are hopeful for God's help and, God willing, America will fall to the ground," he said.

I will patiently explain a few things to you.

First of all, Operation Polar Glory was part of a work of FICTION.

Second, they did NOT use a containership, they used a Ro-Ro. Very different...and very scarce.

Thirdly, It would be one thing to successfully invade Iceland. It would be another thing entirely to successfully invade the North American land mass.

Oh, you've gone from reading a gazillion web pages to EYEWITNESS sightings in San Diego. My, my, your story keeps expanding...

Guess what? I live in San Diego. I know people who live along the border. They see lots of Mexicans and other Hispanics, no Chinese. You're going to have to provide some solid data to back up your claims.

I will explain a few things to you. First, to maintain an army in the field takes DISCIPLINE and TRAINING. That means, among other things, that an army large enough to have any prayer of success in an invasion of America is going to leave certain indicators of its presence--encampments and the like. If, as you are saying, there are significant numbers of Chinese troops in Mexico, then their encampments will be easily found via commercially-available satellite imagery. Actually, given how long that rumor has been floating around the Internet, said imagery would be readily available on Terraserver. Show me the pictures.

Second, look at how VAST America is. That means that an invading army will need to be mechanized. Now calculate how much TRANSPORT an invading army would require. Calculate how much FUEL said army will require to operate the transport, and how many mechanics they will need to keep said transport operational. Also, said transport would, once again, be readily discernable on overhead imagery. Again, show me solid proof.

Third, I get very suspicious when people claim that television broadcasts "disappear." There are companies that do NOTHING but videotape every minute of every channel's airtime and maintain an archive of all said material. So, if this "BBC documentary" was actually broadcast, it would be very easy to locate and produce a copy of the show.

You are the one asserting that this is the Chinese plan. YOU provide the proof to support your claim. All I have seen out of you is table-pounding, "truth enhancement," and big colored fonts. Reinforce your argument instead of raising your voice.
