I've seen that from many posters already. I wonder how many everyday, run-o'-the-mill LEOs know that.
Do you think that if they are not aware of the specific group in question it could be construed to mean any Christian? Who is to educate all LEOs about this particular group?
Think about that for a minute. Do you really think that anyone is so obtuse that they'd arrest Santa Clause (Kriss K. Kringle) because they read a flyer that said to be on the lookout for "KKK" people?
Absurd, isn't it.
No more absurd than trying to scare a bunch of people by insinuating that a call to be wary of "Christian Identity" members is to be interpreted as a threat against "Christians in general".
"But Sarge, I had to kill Rev. Smith -- he identified himself as a Christian, and after all, that FBI flyer and all, well, I had no choice!"
If I had a wet noodle I'd slap you with it right about now. Tell me -- if you don't want neo-nazi outfits to be listed by name, then how do you propose they be listed?
I swear, there are a bunch of panic mongers here who sound like apologists for the neo-nazis. Think about it! You're all jumping up and down screaming bloody murder because the FBI listed a few neo-nazi outfits by name!
Sheesh!
Don't forget to get your liscence before you start swinging that wet noodle in public
You may resume conversation now
If this is how you respond to free speech maybe you need to analyze yourself a little closer!
Now that the "physical" part of the conversation is over...Do you really think that anyone is so obtuse that they'd arrest Santa Clause (Kriss K. Kringle) because they read a flyer that said to be on the lookout for "KKK" people?
Why no, yet if someone put out a flyer that said to watch out for fat, jolly, black booted, red-nosed, red-suited men, riding a reindeer pulled sleigh the jails would be filled every Christmas despite the fact that there is no such person as Santa Claus alive today! They are all folks claiming to be Santa Claus! Talk about "obtuse"! Pretending to be a dead man. Elvis has left the building!
I don't believe anyone would believe "Santa" would be mistaken as being involved with the KKK, but those "ELFs" might need a little closer look!
Tell me -- if you don't want neo-nazi outfits to be listed by name, then how do you propose they be listed?
I really don't care how they are listed! I do, however, think that being a little more informative as to exactly who is being refered to would eliminate some of the confusion this pamphlet is bound to cause.
I mean, come on...how much more "obtuse" and "ill defined" can you get than some of what is in that pamphlet?
And remember...everyone "knows" who Santa is, while everyone may not know who "Christian Identity" is.
Some posts on this very thread is proof evident of that very fact and FReepers, though usually informed, are not even representative of the vast majority of the American populace!
