Did you know the Bible tells us that there will be no women in heaven? It's true. Check out Revelation 8:1, which reads, "When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour." ;-)

My favoite mistranslation of all time might fit into this list:

Psalm 12:6, 7	The words of the LORD are pure words...Thou shalt keep them, O LORD. Thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.	the words of the Lord are pure words…Thou shalt keep them O Lord, Thou shalt preserve them from this generation forever.	The words of the Lord are pure words...Thou, O Lord, wilt keep them; Thou wilt preserve him from this generation forever.	And the words of the Lord are flawless...O Lord you will keep us safe and protect us from such people forever.	The words of the Lord are pure words...You shall keep them, O Lord, you shall preserve them from this generation forever.

More of the NIV's exacting scholarship. It would actually be funny if this wasn't the Word of God.
