How much pulling force must the knuckle on an FRA Type E railroad coupler absorb before it fails?

How many EMD SD-90MACS does it take to exert that much starting tractive effort?

You probably don't even know what the hell that means.

But I guarantee, that you will be the first one here, telling everyone exactly how the next train wreck happened, before the derailed cars even come to rest.

Not because you have an ounce of expertise whatsoever, but because your total distrust of anyone in a position of authority trumps that.

Sure I so, pal. It means you don't have a response to my point---even though you're suddenly affecting the technical expertise you previously disclaimed. You tell me where the "railroad coupler" is on a plane.... Now if we could get back to discussing your "uncontained catastrophic engine failure theory"?

But I guarantee, that you will be the first one here, telling everyone exactly how the next train wreck happened, before the derailed cars even come to rest.

Yeah, I just might be if I thought the government was trying to push its own unsubstantiated theory before the wheels stopped rolling. KnowwuddAhMEAN, Vern?

Grow up, pal. I don't need "expertise" to form an opinion on an important public event, especially if there are others with expertise that I can consult to form my opinion. As for your straw man charge that I have "total distrust of anyone in a position of authority," the issue isn't whether we "trust" those in authority, but whether or not we have the freedom and the independence as citizens to be able to critically evaluate, using all information we can get--not just what the government chooses to give us---, the claims the government makes to us. God help us on the day the government convinces us that only it has the "expertise" to evaluate the assertions it makes.
