At the NTSB press conference, they just stated that both engines appear to be intact and that there are no signs of engine failure, according to George Black, NTSB Boardmember.
So, they "ran, they ran so far awaaaay..."
At first I laughed, and then I realized I'm not sure I'm getting your point.
I remember the last two coming off of different South Pacific islands when I was a kid. I believe I recall that they both had the same commanding officer, and wouldn't surrender until he flew out and gave them permission to do so.

Now I posted a missive on another thread and was accused of wearing a tin-foil hat not to mention my recent sign-up date.
So who's wearing a tin foil hat now? The Governor of NY, master of fuel-dumping? Or whoever the heck said freaking BIRDS caused that plane to fall out of the sky.
I understand birds are a problem, believe it. Given a series of unfortunate events, a flock of birds sucked into a jet engine could cause the plane to crash. But no way would birds cause both those jet's engines to fall off. This is kinda like Bob Stevens drinking out of that stream what gave him anthrax.
They were all just speculating and ruminating. Something done very well on this site.
Only when WE speculate and ruminate we admit that's what we're doing. When the Governor of NY engages in such activity on a public stage, folks tend to give that more import.
You ask me, FreeRepublic should take over the government.
Four minutes would hardly be time enough for a rock star or rapster to get all liquored up and surly.

I'll bet. Plus extra inspection that delayed the flight for an hour just prior to takeoff. With inspections like that, who needs sabotage.

A Singer would have gone for a heat source, an engine. Sounds like an engine dropped off its pylon and hit the tail.
Since when have the tinfoilers ever been logical or consistent? Logic itself, in fact, is a conspiracy by the man to put them down and cover up the greater cosmic conspiracy.
