My error was in typing 12' diameter, which, if the eye is used to thinking in terms of inches for ballistics, could be easily mistaken.
From now on, the target/gong/engine will be described as being 12 FEET in diamter.
Actually that did sound a little harsh - and there are lots worse people who post here- consider this a retraction of the "igno" .
