I heard earlier today that the type of airbus AA uses .. does not allow for the dumping of fuel at any time. Other models apparently do.. so my thoughts are it appears as if the fuel was dumped but in reality when /if the wing came off -- out came the reserves. say a pray and buy something is all I can say !

I don't know about the Air Bus, I worked on SAM Boeing 707 manuals. But the procedures should be the same on any aircraft that has the capability to dump fuel. (With the obvious differences due to switch names/placement, volume/minute etc).
